Book: Story of a Texas Marine - The Autobiography of Nick Quintanilla by Nick Quintanilla
categories: Book, Texas, Marine, Parkinson's Disease, Construction, L.A. Public Works, South Western Texas, AutobiographyNick Quintanilla

During 2010, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease which made me look at my mortality so I decided to share my story with others. People still living in Texas, especially, folks in the south western part of the state along with Veterans of all five branches will enjoy this book. Another section of the population that would enjoy this book will be all the readers in the Greater Los Angeles Basin.
To be honest, the title of this book came from my publishing agent, he was impressed with my Marine Corps history that he came up with the name and I liked it. The hardest part of writing this book was remembering all the little details from my childhood, I did not ask anyone from my family to help me, it was based all from my memories. It took me about three months to write the first draft of the book and another three months to finish it.
As I started writing this book, I started the many people that I have affected, both negatively and positively in my life. So, having said that, I want to thank and encourage all my readers to slow down in life and smell the roses, sort to speak, because even though I am only 56 years old, it goes by very very fast.
