Book: Peak Performance!! Merging Spirituality and Success Principles by Alan Sullivancategories: Book, Mindset, Spirituality, Success, Daily Rituals, Resilience, Courage, Freedom, Authentic Living
Alan Sullivanabout this book: This book will help you to live an authentic and outstanding life of freedom, love and adventure. I wrote it because, while there are many books on spirituality and many books on success, I could not find a book that integrated both themes.
The book should certainly appeal to the over 40's who may be reflecting on life so far, and aspiring to a new and better 'life design' and plan that informs the future.
The book took about a year to write in picturesque cafes mostly in Thailand. It builds on my experience as a project manager, as well as many personal experiences that include a fair share of adversities. It builds on consuming thousands of books and other materials on performance and spirituality. It is informed by academic pursuits and studies of quality management and systems.
Initially I looked at titles revolving around freedom, love and adventure, and living an authentic life, things I think that we all want. These themes are reflected in the book, but eventually I plumbed for Peak Performance as the main title, because this is my primary interest and would facilitate a book series. (I'm presently writing Peak Performance!! Awaken and Achieve). The sub-title was chosen to represent the main themes of Eastern spirituality and Western success.
The book includes a lot of pictorials and acronyms to help digest and recall the material presented. I believe this is quite unique. Some words of advice from renowned actors, and business people are discussed.
The book will help people to see their world in a new and refreshing perspective to operate at a higher level of consciousness and to be resilient, calm and relatively unaffected by the ups and downs of life. The book has been described as "life enhancing" and "inspiring." A reviewer stated that "Every page is filled with reminders of who we really are and countless suggested practices on how we can live a more ego-free life, more peaceful and a more fully-realized existence."
I want to help people live an authentic life of joy, with their ladder of purpose supporting their unique talents and interests. I want to demonstrate that spirituality, and a casting off of one's mental chains, is compatible with living an outstanding and thoroughly enjoyable life.
