Book Review: Guided By Angels - Divinely Inspired Paintings by Amanda Dunbarcategories: Books, Arts & Photography, Painting, Art
Amazing! What still confounds me is that her parents refused to get her art lessons until she grew up. The most likely scenario is she stopped being "the little girl that paints" and the money from the novelty act painting sales started drying up. It's like having a musical genius like Mozart as a child and refusing to let him take piano lessons.
Now she's taking lessons everywhere and selling "signed reproductions". I hate to break it to the suckers that buy them. But they really aren't worth the fabric they are printed on. Her work is pedestrian at best. The fact that she's been painting for 10 years and has only come this far is incredibly sad.
