Book Review: The Journey - The Last Testament by Bob Suggscategories: Book, Devastated World, Survivors, Journey, Adventure, Christian Fiction, Spiritual, Apocalyptic Fiction
A Jaunt Through an Apocalyptic Wasteland With a Spiritual OvertoneFirst this is a short story, but it is very visual and well written. There are thematic elements and also religious implications but the religion is broad spectrum and subliminal for the most part. A world destroyed by an unknown event and our travellers are driven on by an unseen force, like puppets on a string (to quote a line in the story). Perhaps they just want to find the answer to what happened or simply to reach a destination where things are better.
Left me thinking about the story long after I finished reading it, and I wanted more... in a good way. I will have to keep an eye out for this author in the future. [by Effie]
