Clabe Polkabout this book: The world as we know it is destined to end; to describe that event, the term "apocalypse" is used. A vision of the apocalypse is described by John in the "The Book of Revelation". The apocalypse, as John described it, could be seen, and by many is seen, as an intersection of historical, geological, astrophysical, technological political and spiritual events; an intersection drawing inevitably closer and closer. According to the "Book of Revelation" a period known as the "The Great Tribulation" precedes The War Armageddon; the last war fought on Earth.
The Road to Armageddon begins with normal life for the Mark Bishop family. Mark is a family man who works and has too much month at the end of his money. Carla, Mark's wife, is a homemaker and wedding consultant. Brian, Mark and Carla's son is a budding high-school football player looking for a college scholarship after graduation. They live in a stable American community…or do they? They can depend on what their life will be like tomorrow…or can they?
They quickly find that the technological, political and business practices they take for granted everyday are not what they appear. As a result of doing what they consider normal activities and decisions, they find themselves first threatened, then homeless and hunted ruthlessly by a soulless multinational corporation controlled by the Antichrist. Playing on a world-wide field of conflict defined by John's prophesy from the "Book of Revelation", and Jesus' description of the end times from Matthew 24 leading though the Tribulation to the War of Armageddon, the family members learn about Biblical history, overcome anger left over from childhood religious teaching, are saved, and in turn, save others while surviving on an Earth marked by destruction. Joining forces with communities of other believers they survive to see the destruction of evil and the dawn of a new millennium ruled by Jesus Christ.
The Bishop family will lose all that they have in order to gain all that really counts.
The Road to Armageddon is an unrelenting action-packed book of loss, suffering, salvation and redemption.
