Erik D Weiss

Author Erik D Weissabout this book: I'm an independent military historian and adventure fiction writer, who has previously written nonfiction works both in Cold War and medical history. I like to think of myself as a true student of the artes liberales, a devotee of literature, science, history, and music. I present my first novel, Tea and Chivalry, as a story proclaiming the values of responsible leadership. My book is exciting, with aspects of adventure, military history, conflict, and love. Firmly grounded in the European Age of Enlightenment, this story plays upon our yearning for firmly defended values, astute leadership, and principled pursuit of desire. Although adults will certainly find this a captivating and inspirational book, the story is also perfect for young adult readers.

"Kraft in Weisheit – Strength in Knowledge," is the rallying banner of the Count of Weisswasser. He is an eighteenth century champion of the Age of Reason, fighting to defend his land from invasion by evil forces in the neighboring German landscape as well as traitors within his own castle. The military conflagration overlies a narrative of true love, as the Count harnesses inner strength and responsible leadership to fight for his cherished Countess.

This novel took many years to form. Not a quick writing project, the themes and characters took long days and months and years to develop in my mind before hitting the page. I hope my readers will be inspired by these protagonists and this story as much as I am.
