Author Danita Clark Ableabout this book: Letters From A Whoremonger's Wife takes the reader on a journey inside the life of a family dealing with an addiction to adultery. I began writing our story while writing a letter to my husband, during the time of our divorce. Actually, the title came to me before I realized I was writing a book. There could not be another title for this book.

I chose the cover photo because it depicts the the final moments of my life before I stepped into blackness. At the moment the photo was snapped, I was still a young woman walking toward my future with great anticipation and expectation. Hours after the photo was taken, my life began to unravel.

The most difficult part of writing LFAWW was reliving the pain of my children. Several times during the writing process, I found I had to stop, take a break from the pain. But I knew I had to finish the process. Even if the book never left my computer, the story had to be told so that others might avoid the same nightmare. I was once asked if I had to do research for this book. I didn't. This is the retelling of my life. I had written many letters and kept journals over the years. And some memories are so excruciating they never leave us.

In writing of our struggles, reliving the past, I could see how wrong I had been, yet how strong I had been. I began to understand the turmoil my children had lived with and I was overwhelmed when I recognized the strength it took for them to persevere.

I hope my readers will be able to recognize their friends, family and co-workers in this story...the friends, family and co-workers who are struggling to hold life together in the wake of abuse and adultery. And that they'll use my experience to help their loved ones, to show them they can get out and move on.
