about this book: I am very passionate about the topic of this book. I dealt with adenomyosis for seventeen years and was misdiagnosed multiple times during my ordeal. I finally received the correct diagnosis after my hysterectomy. I have since learned that very little is known about adenomyosis, and during the time that I had it, it was virtually impossible to diagnose prior to hysterectomy. This is unacceptable to me. I could not stand the thought of other women having to go through what I went through, so I started the website, "Adenomyosis Fighters" which gives some basic information about the disorder and offers some tips for ways to decrease symptoms. This book took me about a year to write because I researched a lot of clinical studies on adenomyosis before I started. My family members even joke with me saying that I probably just wrote a dissertation! But it is all worth it to me. So little attention has been given to this uterine disorder, and it is time for that to change. We need more education and research...desperately...to help all those women out there who suffer from this uterine disorder.
what to read next: if you read and liked this book...
