Leah Gordonabout this book: You Can Hold My Hand is a short story about an issue that has plagued us all since the beginning of time: acceptance. The theme, title and cover of the book go hand in hand in hand, and that is simply what I was going for. A cohesive package where my reader will know about the story, without knowing exactly what to expect from it, or from me. The story took me about a day to complete, and was inspired by struggles I saw all around me, of people simply wanting to be okay with being themselves.
I entered the story in a competition in my town, and it won first prize, which was also part of my inspiration to put it online and advertise it. I hope anyone who takes the time to read the story will be moved by it's message and hopefully do some introspection. I also want to encourage those who may feel lonely, or unaccepted to never give up, as there is always a hand out there for you to hold.
