Qwirkle Board Game Combines Fun and Critical ThinkingLooking for something new and fun to do that your whole family can enjoy? The Qwirkle board game provides entertainment for both adults and children as young as six to eight years old, so the whole family can play (that is, up to four players at a time).
Qwirkle is a fairly simple strategy game that is played using wooden blocks imprinted with six varying shapes in six varying colors. Rows and columns are built by matching colors and shapes with one another in order to score points. It requires a certain amount of thinking and strategizing to maximize points. Once you have a handle on the rules, it takes about 45 minutes to complete a game. For younger kids, you may opt to distribute fewer tiles to shorten the length of the game and keep them engaged throughout its entirety.
In short, it is colorful and fun, easy to learn, and it won the Mensa Best Mind Game Award in 2007, so you can be sure that your kids are expanding their minds while they play.
