Finally - A Gay DetectiveThis is the first gay themed detective story we have ever seen. The opening credits already give you that special James Bond-feeling and the entire film has been desaturated in colors, which gives it a special old-fashioned atmosphere. So the whole production is outstanding.
I really liked the idea of having a gay detective, however, the story is not very original. With so many crime and detective stories out there these days, I think you need to come up with a really extra-ordinary and original story – otherwise it's just as good as another Columbo episode. [by Andy]
Fun Film, Terrible ActingExcept for the car dealer, who was passable, I thought the acting was terrible. There were many times when it was obvious they were reading lines which yanks you right out of the illusion that any of it is real. On the other hand, I thought it was fun seeing a noire detective story with gay characters. It had some funny and witty moments though. Funniest scene: The phone sex scene. Most hard to believe: a Toyota with a door that doesn't close properly.
