Last of the Dogmen Takes the Cake
I found this movie years ago in VHS. When the tape broke, I was heart broken. Just recently we found the movie on DVD and watched it again this morning.Like a great piece of music, this movie resounds with creative genius. The director did an incredible job of melding two locations, Mexico and Canada. The camera work, costuming and the acting in this movie are just incredible. Not to mention the storyline is wonderful--even plausible.
Though some have said the narration of the story by Wilford Brimley took something away from the movie, I strongly disagree. Mr. Brimley's narration is one of the things which makes the movie special and above the ordinary.
Performances by Tom Berenger and Barbara Hershey were stunning. Even I've watched the movie many times, I am still moved to tears. I highly recommend this movie.
