Anouk Bealeabout this book: I started writing The Hill of Kings after a re-occurring dream which was about a young teenage boy who could do magic. At the time due to ms I was no longer able to work and read a lot of self development books. The lessons helped me with my health and to get out of life what I wanted. I incorporated these lessons in the story in a fun non forceful way for young readers and any avid reader. I am originally from the Netherlands but when I moved to Ireland for a man I fell in love the country as well. It has so much colourful history that isn't that well known but worth knowing. Like Balor of the evil eye who is brought back in a modern way in The Hill of Kings.
The story takes place around the hill of Tara which was once the place from which the high kings ruled Ireland. With some magical twists and turns and Irish myths and legends the reader will want to keep reading. The Hill of Kings is the first in a series were the main character ends up in different countries. He meets lesser known brought back myths and legends.
