Celia Standerabout this book: Guardians of the Akasha is about a girl, Keira, who has finished school and wants to just live her life and travel the world. Unfortunately, her parents and aunt have other ideas.
Keira has always know that she is different, but tried to hide this from her friends and family. Until she is attacked on the streets of London and has to use her powers in self-defence. This leaves a signature, making it possible for predators to track her. She is forced to fight for her life and those she loves.
This is a YA/New Adult urban fantasy novel for those readers who like a strong female protagonist, lots of action and adventure, sprinkled with a dash of romance :)
'Akasha' means all matter, everything around us and that which connects all.
• "The characters are easy to relate to, the plot is excellent, and the pacing is well-balanced in that you don't want to put it down but there are plenty of places to catch your breath." — AwesomeIndies.net
