Recently released late July 2015. It tells the story of a young girl who becomes an agent in the S.O.E.[Special Operations Executive] also known as Churchill's Secret Army. It is set during WW2, mostly in France and Germany.
Although a fictional work, many aspects reflect reality.
Joy, was inspired to write this after a visit to Market Harborough, the place where the liberty bodice for ladies was first produced in the early part of the nineteen hundreds. Gloria our protagonist was inspired to fight for liberty and freedom. Hence the title.
The book took over 2 years to write and have published.
The cover reflects a part of the book where as a résistance agent she is stopped and searched and questioned by a Nazi officer.
The amount of research for the factual evidence was extensive.
The book will appeal to all adult readers.
It is inspirational, showing how much great courage, tenacity and determination can help to get you through the adversity, we all experience at times through our lives.
