Scott Fieldsabout this book: Every man in town wanted her, but the only man she wanted she couldn't have. When her lust for him and sexual advances were rejected, she became embittered and scorned. Her vengeance was soon satisfied when her stepson was murdered, and she was able to accuse him of the crime.
SUMMER HEAT is a 60,000-word women's fiction novel set in a small town in the south. It explores the raw emotions of a young woman trapped in the despair of a marriage gone bad and the lustful desire for a young black man she can't have.
Summer Heat is a story that came to me while I was driving a long stretch of road. Many stories come to me while driving, mainly, because my wife is usually asleep. I had been trying for years to get an agent and thought that this would be the best tool to make it happen, and it worked.
I conduct many book signings throughout the year, but when I am having one at my church, this one stays behind. By the way, there is a very good reason why the title has the word "heat" in it.
