Sheryl Fawcettabout this book: It is said 60 is the new 40, as exemplified by three women friends. When they least expected it, their happy lives were destroyed by the loss of their husbands. A little boy, two teenage girls, and a forty-something wife and mother face their own brands of betrayal. Yet they are all survivors. We share their stories and their journeys, out of misery and forward to a good life. You may recognize a friend, a neighbor or even yourself in the various characters.
This is fiction written in contemporary reality. The author is an active, healthy woman in her mid-60s. She writes primarily for female baby-boomers, but her work also appeals to both a younger and older audience. This book was written on the dock of the author's lake house, over a period of two summers. It takes place in locations familiar to her, but none of the events or people are drawn from her real life.
