Janie De Coster about this book: Frienemies ask the question... Can Men and Women Really Be Just Friends? Lets take a look at Natasha and Sloan, the main characters in the novel. They have been friends since 3rd grade and have gone though the good, the bad and the ugly. Sloan had her back when Natasha's engagement to her fiance Darin fell apart. And Natasha, well she never held her opinion when she thought Sloan was dating the wrong woman. The friends were very protective, having each other best interest at heart. So you would think these two would have known the difference between a loving relationship and true love. But for Natasha and Sloan things are just complicated. When they found themselves attracted to the new hires where they both work, it seemed as if they were on the right track for true love. In the midst of it all, the couple failed to see the danger that lay ahead. Essence and Derrick, their significant others were playing a manipulating game that could cost one of the best friends their life.
