Nancy Ann DeRosaabout this book: FOOD FOR THOUGHT; First Course is about five single friends who meet up every Saturday night at a different restaurant seeking a fun evening out. Their experiences are the "Slices of Life" we can all relate to. This is a story about love, friendship, family ties, and learning to love yourself. In FOOD FOR THOUGHT; First Course, food becomes the prop as social interactions take place. You will enjoy reading about all the delicious meals they sample. The drama that unfolds will make you laugh and you will feel a connection to their journeys as they create better lives for themselves. Think Sex and The City, meets Bridget Jones Diary, with a bit of the Food Network thrown into the mix!
READERS FAVORITE REVIEW; Samantha March
Self-Conscious over her weight, going through family drama, and keeping up with her girlfriends, EMMA quickly became a friend of mine. Her journey was intriguing to read and follow, with twists and turns, hopeful moments and plenty of laughter, course after course.
The motif of food is what ultimately binds together these diverging tales from the lives of Emma and the people around her, letting the plot expand in a number of exciting and entertaining directions without ever feeling like it's going off track. Overall, this is a compelling, fun, and immensely relatable read with a lot of heart, driven by charming characters that are easy to root for--and the lovingly elaborate descriptions of all of their delicious meals is just he icing on the cake!
