Maria Daddinoabout this book: My passions in life are gardening and wildlife. My challenge is having the two peacefully co-exist in the same place!
For fifteen years, I was, simultaneously, the sole caregiver for four loved ones and when the time finally came for me to, once again, live my life I began to write down the stories of the wildlife whose antics, during those stressful years, had helped me keep what was left of my sanity. So, fulfilling my childhood dream, I published my first book: "Maria's Duck Tales: Wildlife Stories From My Garden."
I share a unique bond with wildlife which is rather amazing since I did not grow up with any furry or feathered "friends." As a child, I had to content myself with loving them from afar as I sat curled up in our little local library reading about the daring feats of Lad and Gray Dawn in the marvelous collie classics of Albert Payson Terhune.
Interacting with nature has always been thrilling for me which is why I created a natural wildlife habitat in my backyard. I hope that you enjoy the stories of my little "wild-friends," the untamed creatures who share my garden with me!
