Alyssa Baileyabout this book: Writing this book was easy and hard at the same time. Easy because I am a true Texan and I love history so I researched about Fort Worth and Cattle drive days to get the background for half of the story. The other half involved some of the world after the Civil War for both Native Americans and Whites.
It was hard because I had to make sure all of my elements meshed well. Add a love story with a naive heroine was missing love growing up and partially believed she wasn't lovable, a Native American Marshall who believes in spanking his wife, his mother and grandmother with wonderfully dry humor, and some great suspense and you have the best foundation for a entertaining story.
There are elements of kinky bedroom play but who said that was relegated to only the 21st century? This couple was so much fun. I intend on continuing to write with Native American protagonists because I loved them as a teen and still do.
