Ginger Simpsonabout this book: An exciting western historical true to the period, and a hard decision for a new bride to make. When her husband fails to return home from acquiring winter supplies, does Cecile choose to stay in a home located in a strange place, miles from nowhere, with no food and no one to deliver the baby she thinks she's expecting, or does she accept the invitation from the Lakota Brave she's saved and accompany him to his home to start a new life?
Destiny's Bride, previously my debut novel, Prairie Peace, is finally getting the attention it deserves. Books We Love, Ltd., gave it new life with cover art, an opportunity for me to fix amateur writing issues, and acquire new attention. In it's previous life, PP earned four stars from The Romantic Times Magazine, at a time when ebook authors were not considered as legit as the mainstream peeps. I was proud then, and I'm equally as proud of my new offering, Destiny's Bride.
An amazon customer had this to say:
What a portrayal of life on the prairie. Tough times, tougher people. We watched Cecile grow from a naive 19 year old bride to a mature woman in the span of about a year. Her dreams and heartaches were intense. In the end, she went with her heart but getting there was a journey in itself. You have to admire her for what she went through. Research was good and showed what people had to endure from the land and each other to survive. Good story, good ending.
