James Douglas Macdonald about this book: This is a teen-werewolf novel. We have a beautiful young lady who is having her worst night ever, her friends, and an evil werewolf who wants to kill them all. Good old-fashioned fun. We wrote this book as an expansion of our first published short story. I was on active duty in the Navy, in Panama, way back when. There wasn't a lot of science fiction or fantasy available in English, so my wife (Debra Doyle) and I started writing our own. Then, you know how it goes, we decided to start submitting the stories. One sold. A whole new world opened up for us.
Well, that was our werewolf story. Then the question arose, "What happened next? " And the answer was ... this novel. (The original short story forms the first couple of chapters.) It came out, it sold decently, it went out of print, and now here it is in electronic and POD form. We have a couple of sequels, and a stand-alone short story in the same series, because the question "What happened next? " was still fascinating us. Some day we may write the story of our teen werewolf(s) in college, or what one of the characters did during the year she spent at boarding school -- but that's someday....
