About the author:

John A. Tighe, M.Phil. is a writer who works in the fitness industry and has spent many years working directly with clients as a personal trainer, fitness and nutrition coach. Having successfully worked with hundreds of clients John became frustrated at the way many people he met were struggling to lose weight because of the bad information they had been given.

"I met many smart, motivated people who were following diets that at best were not working and at worst were actually causing them to gain more weight as soon as the diet finished - the classic 'yo-yo' diet" explained John.
