Michael Toledanoabout this book: A Victorian suspense story doesn't always translate into another crime solving mystery where a genius detective thwarts the villain in the seedier parts of London at the end of the nineteenth century.
In Truncate, I've worked at creating a Victorian police story driven by the intended victim. Out of desperation he takes action as the principal sleuth. Oh, there are the usual suspects, villains, police, and inspectors. It does take place in London at the end of the nineteenth century. However, it is the unwitting victim who by his nature and his circumstances plays a key role. I wrote the novel in first person to veil the outside events that are out of his control in order to intensify the suspense surrounding him. There is still the element of mystery but I've added the touches of romance, betrayal, and violence to heighten the story and make the protagonist's life interesting. After years of learning the writing craft, participating in writer's groups, attending writer seminars, researching the genre, and having the manuscript professionally edited, I published my fist novel, Truncate. . . A Victorian Suspense Story.
I hope you'll accept my invitation to purchase a copy of Truncate. Then prepare yourself for a riveting tale in a genre known for adventure, mystery and suspense.
