Book: Doctor's Choice by Gaynor W Baker

Gaynor W Bakerabout this book: I got the idea for the book when I saw my favorite Japanese-Canadian tv character dressed in a tux for his friend's wedding. My thought was "He looks like he just stepped out of Victorian England!" I immediately started researching the period and the connection between England and Japan. I found this book particularly difficult to write because the friend that was reading it chapter by chapter as they were being written was moving to the States. So while I wanted her to read it before she left, I knew she would leave soon afterward. I literally tore up seven chapters of one version. The only reason I finished it at all was because there was a pivital scene where she calls him by his first name that I just had to write! So I cut the scenes I no longer wanted, changed the title and began for the final time. "Doctor's Choice" is the final result. I chose the cover because it reminded me of an English country lane.
