Denysé Bridgerabout this book: This was one of the first full-length, detailed novels that I wrote. It was set aside for several years, and when I showed it to one of my publishers, they were very enthusiastic about it, so I thought it was time to bring it back and polish it for submission.
This book encompasses many of the genres I love, with three linked stories that merge for the book's climax. Though told partly in Victorian England, and mostly in the modern era, the novel is carefully crafted and I paid great attention to detail. The hero of the story is a reluctant vampire, and as such, his connection to the story begins in London just before the Ripper murders. As the past reaches out to link to the present, he is faced with many challenges and unexpected liaisons in order to solve a series of murders that is plaguing the city where he is now a police detective. When a wolf shifter and the psychic who loves him come into the fold, the mystery takes on new dimensions.
Reviews for this book have been very strong, and I am deeply pleased with the reception it is given by those who read it.
Research for the book included reading and honing in on aspects of life in Victorian England, as well as the pacing and intricate connections that make the various plots come together smoothly for a solid conclusion that leaves readers happy. I was lucky enough to have the incredible talent of Kayden McLeod as the cover artist for this title, and it is hoped that the book will soon be in print as well as eBook formats.
