Karleen Pageabout this book: How I Divorced the Military is a constant page turner of dramatic event that spouses may encounter in the United States Army. The character Eve talks about things that spouses may put up with every day from their husbands or wives to include some cheating. She offers information on where to go if you find yourself in the same situation. You will laugh, cry at the unbelievable story that she tell as she struggles to get to the end of what would be the beginning of her life. If you have ever wanted to know some of the real life issues that go on in a military spouses life read the book.
I started in 2010 writing How I Divorced the Military. I think it took me so long because I wanted perfection and I had to nudge myself to keep on going I needed insurance and encouragement. I found myself reading over each step and process over and over again before I would go to the next. Even still I am sure I made some mistakes as a self publisher.
I was inspired to write this book as a dream. It had always been my desire to accomplish this task. I offer my support to anyone facing the same challenge and would insist that you follow your heart and try your best to achieve all your goals.
How I Divorced the Military will touch many readers both men and women because it focuses on the fact that a spouse can be either male or female. It does not discriminate against the cheater and it does not attack either sex. It will be a good read for both military and civilian knowing that their is a difference in the laws just as it is from state to state.
The hardest part about writing How I Divorced the Military was accepting advice. Sometime you have to be willing to listen and open to change to be successful.
I chose the cover because I wanted it to assist the mystery in the title and visa verse.
I chose the title hoping someone else could relate to what I was experiencing.
Throughout the writing of the entire book I was surprised that in the end I found the real meaning of Serenity.
You should read the book.
