Joe Reilly, The Conivin' Cowboyabout this book: Magic, Luck, or Guardian Angels is a series of short true life stories about the author's life, a disabled ex trucker. This book was written to start a new career as a writer, rather than succumb to that disability. Although written with truck drivers in mind, the author's son read it to his high school class, so it's a book anyone can enjoy. Since the stories are about events in the author's life, it took only two weeks to write, because he only had to remember past events.
The title is meant to be inspirational, while the cover photo, of the author, is an homage to one of his heroes, John Wayne. The hardest part of writing the book was learning the technical aspects of the modern computer world. The author would like to show people that no matter what life throws at you, you can always find another way. The thing is, as the author tires to show, to never give up.
