Book Review: Shattered Reality (Brooklyn and Bo Chronicles - Book 1) by Brenda Perlin

Brenda Perlinabout this book: This book has been years in the making. I started writing this memoir of sorts when I was twenty-nine and getting married. After the wedding I put the story away only to pick it back up some fifteen years later while I was going through an UGLY divorce. No, most divorces are not pretty but this one was quite gruesome.
Even though I call it fiction, the story (but the names) are all the truth. My truth as I see it. I lay my entire life out on a silver platter. I feel this is a story of survival and with that I hope it will inspire or if not that maybe just show another side of life. This is a woman's journey to happiness and self-fulfillment. There is some judgment from every corner and finger pointing from not only others but herself as well. How does one forgive herself after she has done the unthinkable?
I like to think of this as a survival story.

a review by Mary Ann BernalThe first story of the Brooklyn and Bo chronicles is poignant as the author reveals her innermost thoughts and feelings about the chain of events that radically changed her life. Even if one doesn't agree with her decisions, one can understand why she did what she did. A truthful account of an uncomfortable subject. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
