Kate Benzinabout this book: This book is the true story of the challenges I faced on my first trek in the Nepal Himalayas in my mid-50's, overweight, and very out of shape. I wanted to share my story so that others might be inspired to fulfill their dreams as well, no matter what they were.
I started writing the book shortly after I returned from Nepal, and I worked on it on and off for several years. Actually, at first, I was planning to write a magazine article. But I had kept a very detailed journal while I was trekking, so it turned into more than just an article. The book is not long, but every word is a true reflection of how I was feeling at that time.
My book is not just for travelers. It is for anyone who has a dream to fulfill - for anyone who just needs a little more inspiration to help him or her make the decision to go for it and take the risk.
