James Paddockabout this book: Book 2 of the time-travel series.
Annie never talked about that summer in 1943 when her mother birthed her, about the fact that her mother died that same year, or that it might have been in 1987–there was no way of knowing for sure–or about the fact that after 64 years she had yet to observe her 20th birthday and that was Already an Iraq War widow.
After her husband's death Annie struggled to finish her semester at MIT, her graduate studies in nuclear science. She fought nightmares triggered by the memory of the last time she saw him, the fight, the torture of guilt over harsh words she hurled at him. She needed to escape, to go somewhere that she could forget and let her heart heal. She chooses the country around Montana's Glacier National Park. In the chill pristine mountain air she hopes to find her life again. Her final, terrible words, however, follow her, as well, unbeknownst to her, does her grandfather. He brings with him her solution, or so he believes.
He brings a wormhole.
