|5 stars, 4 reviews|
Conrad Brassoabout this book: If you liked the television series '24' or if you like reading Daniel Silva, Lee Child, Robert Ludlum, Vince Flynn, John le Carré, or James Morcan, then you'll love Hunting the Midnight Shark. It is an international/CIA/thriller genre book packed with action that takes you from China and Japan to Malaysia, the United States, Vietnam, and West Africa with characters that are believable, compelling and smart.
More than just a military thriller or another sniper story that ends with saving the world from nuclear missiles, dirty bombs, or chemical weapons, this book will take you into an uncomfortable moral issue of our day, leaving you stunned and provoked. Most of the research for this book came from the author's own experiences and observations in traveling to more than 90 nations in various capacities.
• "Hunting the Midnight Shark will infiltrate you into the effluvial and Machiavellian world of child trafficking."
— Spencer M. Chuassey, The Literary Kiwi
• "The perfect travel read!"

So gratifying! I love great booksI love reading great books! A GREAT book, for me, has detail (but not too much), great action, great conversation, a sprinkle of characters I'd love to hang out with, a plot that keeps me guessing and interested, takes me to different countries and places, and then sticks in my head well after I'm done.
Hunting the Midnight Shark? Check, check, check, check, check, check and CHECK! I bought the Kindle version and then went to the author website and emailed to see if I could pay to get an autographed hardcover ... I GOT ONE! [by Cindy K]
excellent readI'm a fan! Definitely surprising at times, not predictable. Fast paced and full of action. I'm excited to see there is a second book in the works! [by JB]
Just What I WantedI love this genre. From Tom Clancy to Lee Child, I've read them all. Conrad Brasso nails it with his first book. I loved it! It's global in its scope, high octane in its action, has characters that I'm excited to follow into this series, and was a book that I just kept wanting to get back to. I'm getting a few Christmas copies for "reader" friends of mine. [by Stan Bridgestone]
AwesomeThis was a great read. I'm relatively new to this genre - and this book has gotten me even more excited about it. Too bad this is only the first book. I'm buying more of Vince Flynn.
