Jake Morrisabout this book: This book is aimed at thriller readers, but it has been warmly embraced by a wide readership (both male and female). It's a fast-paced read that delves into the murky world of global security. Reviewers have commented on its humour, pathos, and authenticity.
Apart from writing a thriller that I wanted to read (being a big fan of the genre), I wanted to address some of the issues that veterans face when leaving the military - whether I've been successful will be for the reader to decide. The title of the book comes from...well, that would give the game away. If you read the book, you'll see.
A great deal of research went into the writing of this book, as well as years of personal experience (I'm a former soldier). I hope that the dramatic tension, realism, attention to detail, and pace of the work demonstrates this. Above all, I hope that the reader has as much fun reading Black Flag as I did writing it.

Black Flag follows a group of combat veterans who uncover a plot to draw the UK and US into war with Iran. Via a journey through conspiracy, betrayal and intrigue, the comradeship of ex-soldiers binds together a group of men who must find a way to stop a devastating attack on London.
