Pendelton C. Wallaceabout this book: If Clive Cussler had written Ugly Betty, it would be Hacker for Hire.
The second book in the Ted Higuera Thriller series, Hacker for Hire, is a story of corporate greed and industrial espionage.
When you're already in the nation's top 1%. How much more do you need?
Ted's boss, Catrina Flaherty, is hired by a large computer corporation to find a leak in their corporate boardroom when the previous consultant is found floating in Elliot Bay.
Ted and Catrina dig deep into Seattle's Hi-Tech world as they stalk the killer. But the killer is also hunting them. Can Ted find the killer before the killer finds him?
Many people have asked me how I came up with the title for the book. When I was a kid, there was a comic book called "Hero for Hire." I was writing a book about a professional hacker. Something clicked in the back of my head and Hacker for Hire was born.
This book is based on a true story. I have upped the tension by adding a couple of murders, but other than that, the real-life story played out pretty much as in the book.
I'm sure you'll enjoy this brief foray into the high-tech world that is Seattle.
