Wyatt Michaelabout this book: The Whaler Fortune is a riveting tale of plague, shipwreck, murder, and deliverance for all readers of edge-of-your-seat Suspense Thrillers. It is the story of Joseph, a man living in St. Giles District in London, England in 1786. He is a good hard-working man, but is forced to seek work elsewhere because of hard times. He leaves his mother behind and boards The Fortune, a British whaleship bound for the Pacific Ocean to begin a new life. The journey is to last some two to four years and goes well for the most part, but things are not what they seem. A lunatic, escaped from the justice of the London justices and another man, who is carrying a deadly disease beneath his clothes are also counted in the ship's Register. As the men aboard go about there duties to harvest the whales of the vast oceans, they begin to disappear one by one. Plague, shipwreck, and plotted murder of any survivors is on a fatal collision-course with Joseph and there is nowhere for him to run or hide.
