Billy Wellsabout this book: While trying to sell my first two paperback collections, Black As Night and Shivers and other Nightmares at book fairs, I noticed that my covers made some of the female buyers shy away from my table and drag their husbands with them. Although the two books suggest mostly horror stories with suprise endings, like Stephen King's collections in the genre, such as his first, Night Shift, not all of the stories are horror. Morever, many of the stories, are not about vampires, werewolves, trolls, etc. but human monsters one might find in books in the mystery, suspense and thriller genres.
To satisfy readers who don't like so much horror, but do enjoy thrills and chills to tickle their scary bone, I selected the stories from my first two books that are not as horrific and do not include the hairy monsters and bloodsucking vampires, but just the deranged maniacs and everyday people thrust into extraordinary situations. Surprise! Surpise! might be a little strong for some readers so be forewarned. Enjoy!
