Book: See No Evil, My Pretty Lady by Miss Mae

Miss Maeabout this book: A different spin on Jack the Ripper. What if--? What if you lived during the reign of The Ripper? What if you were one of the women he attacked? What if you managed to escape? And what if he stalked you to silence you?
When I wrote my first chapter of See No Evil, My Pretty Lady I had no idea the plot would revolve about Jack. To be honest, the first page was meant as a writing lesson for an online course I took. But when I received comments such as:
"Ooh, this makes me wonder who the strange man is..." and "What is her history? How come she came upon the dead body of Mr. Davenport?"
These questions, and others, caused me to think. Why did I write those opening paragraphs like I had? Could I add to this scene and really create a believable story?
I decided it was at least worth the effort, and thus, Dorcy's and Gareth's story was born.
• "Miss Mae packs a wonderful mystery punch reminiscent of Agatha Christie's classic writing style with her desolate island full of would be killers. Join the skittish but thoughtful Dorcy as she tries to stay alive and fight strange feelings of attraction for Gareth, a likely Jack the Ripper suspect."

• "Miss Mae has a way of writing sweet cozy mysteries that are spellbinding and full of suspense. Chill bump stories. Hold on to that thought as with the sunrise the fog will lift as you reach the final page."
