Book Reviews: I STAND CORRECTED (ROSARIO AND BALOU SERIES Book 1) by Patricia Asedegbega

Patricia Asedegbegaabout this book: "I STAND CORRECTED" is a fiction novel recounted from two different points of views; Rosario's and Balou's. Balou is a black British shorthair cat who is taken from his mother's side to be sold in a pet shop alongside his four brothers. Just when he is about to loose hope about anyone taking an interest in him, Rosario and her husband walk in and he is taken home with them. He soon finds out that something is horribly wrong in the household and he has to put all his kitty senses to use in order to save a life.
I have always found stories told from different points of view quite interesting, it always amazes me how people interpret situations based on their perceptions. The subject matter of the book is quite serious and Balou's narrative adds a touch of humor to it.
I chose the book title "I STAND CORRECTED" because it engulfs all the instances in life one needs to take a step back and acknowledge that things are not exactly what they believed them to be.
I had the design of the book cover quite clear even though the designer added his personal touch. It symbolizes how the main character watches events of her life unfold without being able to do much about them.
To my readers I would like to say that although this is a fiction piece of work, there are a lot of people that find themselves in a similar situation. This novel has suspense, humor and moments that should make us reflect on someone else's reality. I do hope I have been able to achieve this.

I STAND CORRECTED (ROSARIO AND BALOU SERIES Book 1) Patricia AsedegbegaThis book was really well written. I loved the parts from Balou's point of view. His bond with Rosario was amazing. Also a lot of the other characters like the household help were very likeable.
The Author did a great job at tackling a very emotional, difficult subject between Rosario and Javier. Some of the scenes were really heart churning and heartbreaking to read.
I read this novel in one night, as I couldn't sleep until I knew how it ended for the people in the book.
amazingI love the suspense and it is certainly one of the best books I've the pleasure of reading ... all the details ... amazing! I can not wait for the next. Congratulations to the author. [by Alex]
