Troy Bondabout this book: The Curse of Akbar is a suspense novel involving a flawed and reluctant hero, Dalton Scott, who is still reeling from personal tragedy when he learns that his good friend is murdered. At the encouragement of his friend's widow, Scott travels to a mysterious palace in India to track down the killer before the killer finds him. Meanwhile, Scott discovers a rare and ancient text that offers him a sliver of hope from his despair.
As a fan of noir thrillers, I write what I would like read to make my pulse pound. These days, my favorite place to take a book is on an airplane. There's something about taking a trip while hurtling through space that makes the story of an imaginary journey come alive. I especially like taking readers to places they've never been before and giving them something to think about along the way. So, buckle up and pull down your window shade. It should be a bumpy ride.
