Katie Haynes about this book: Tracing my footsteps throughout Kansas City, with it's history that fascinated me. I could hardly hold in my anticipation with every wonderful stone that I turned over. I actually felt myself moved towards the history that revolved around the speakeasies, peep shows, the car bombings. This book took far longer than my others, unlike my others I had a lot of research tied into this one. The cover reflects 3 sisters, my book was about 3 sisters, so I actually felt myself move towards this cover. I think the hardest part of writing about this book was it is so different than my others, my first mobster book. I actually did learn something about writing this book.
Kansas City has intrigued the writer in me, one only has to look and listen. There is a story to be told!

This book was great, held my interest, could not put it down until I was finished. Could have read about this family on and on! The author really knew how to out it together. Now I can't wait for next book! [by Brenda Gandy]
