about this book: I spent twenty years as a management consultant. When I left the corporate world i was tempted to write a business book, to share my skills and experience. But how much better to create a fictional character set in the cut and thrust world I knew, who embodies the skills, and the flaws, of City professionals? And writing fiction was and is a great challenge for someone steeped in business style communication. Fiction readers want to be transported to times, places and events where they can lose themselves in stories about heroes they can identify with, who triumph against the odds and who change and grow in the process; but most of all readers want to be entertained.
In 'Saving Jay" I have created a gifted but flawed maverick who seems to have the world at his feet. A go-getter who plays it hard but fair, and gets results his own way - which puts a target firmly on his back. He seems to have the world at his feet until his ambitious and ruthless boss, Sara, sets her eyes on Jay as a trophy for her cabinet.
