Book: Bishop's War (Bishop Series Book 1) by Rafael Amadeus Hines

Rafael Amadeus Hinesabout this book: On 9/11 I watched my office along with all the others in the Twin Towers come crashing down and like many New Yorkers I expected follow up attacks to take place throughout the city. Years later when I started writing as a late night hobby I imagined a lone citizen soldier preventing these attacks and the hero Sgt. John Bishop appeared on paper. Always an avid reader of suspense-thrillers, and writing purely for my own entertainment, I wanted Bishop's War to be an action-packed rollercoaster of a read, filled with villains and plot twists. And although my novel is pure fiction, a major part of my writing process was researching Special Forces weapons and tactics to try to make Bishop's War an exciting Military thriller. I was also very fortunate to have a life-long friend and Special Ops sergeant serving in a Combat Outpost in Afghanistan at the time and in between missions he pointed out errors in my early drafts. So if you enjoy action-packed Military suspense-thrillers with heroes fighting the War on Terror in New York and Afghanistan, then Bishop's War just may be the book for you!
I will add that since self-publishing Bishop's War in February of 2016 I have been overwhelmed by the responses from thousands of fans all over the world and for anyone who is not sure whether you want to invest your time on a first novel from an unknown author you can see some of the 245+ Reviews on Amazon, read Chapter 1 on my website http://www.rafaelhines.com/, or use Look Inside on my book cover on Amazon and see if it grabs you. Happy to say that due to all the Bishop War fan requests I am now working on the sequel which will be available before year end.
