Leanna Harrowabout this book: First, I'd like to thank E. L. James for writing 50 Shades of Grey and showing the world that reading erotica is not only alive and well but socially acceptable. I wrote "Killing the Desire" because I have always been a fan of crime and serial killers. I have also always been a big fan of sex!
I thought 'how fun would it be to combine the two?' so, I did. The finished product is a tale of a woman who meets a man, and her untimely demise, online. Her daughter is left to deal with the aftermath and the strikingly handsome Detective in charge of her mothers murder.
A torrid love affair soon evolves as do suspicions of the Detectives involvement in the murder. The twists and turns in this book will keep you on the edge of your seat, as they did me, and I knew how it ended!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it!

LOVED ITThis book had me hooked right from the start. The dramatic first paragraph had me wanting to read more and I'm glad that I did because I wasn't disappointed.
Rose Harlow, the daughter of the woman murdered, sets out to find her mothers' killer. The few vital clues that she finds, lead her to believe that the sexy detective, whom she has fallen madly in love with, (when she didn't think that she could ever fall in love) is the one responsible for the murder. This obviously throws hers and has her jumping to conclusions.
Without giving anything away, I'd like to say that I am very happy with the ending and I'm glad that there was a little twist to it.
I thoroughly enjoyed 'Killing the desire'. It flowed smoothly and quickly and the sex scenes didn't make me cringe, which for me, is a big plus. My rating for this one is 4.5/5. Nice one Leanna! [by Maria Holman]
A Great ReadWhen I started reading this book, the first thought out of my mouth was "WTF"!!!! The beginning is a part that just seems to drag you in and it makes you want to find out more. The twists and turns that Rose is feeling during the course of this book was so well written, that you couldn't help but want to read more.
I really enjoy the real life aspects that Leanna puts in her book, the anger that Rose has towards her father for example. That gives the book a more personal touch. Just because this book has an erotic sense to it, that doesn't mean everyone's lives are great.
This book has enough twists and turns that it will leave you wanting for more. You will want to finish reading because you just have to find out what happens next!
A review of Killing the Desire by Leanna Harrow'Killing the Desire' is an erotic detective story, full of mystery and intrigue. The author takes you into her world of descriptive dialogue within the first two paragraphs. Captivating your imagination and attention throughout. As well as tapping into your other senses. The story is tantalizing and explicit. It's a journey through loss, family crisis, love, lust and betrayal. I found this book entertaining and a comfortable read. [by Lucee Lovett]
Must Read!!Before I start this I want to categorically state that I am not a reviewer – I am a reader who knows what she likes and what she doesn't. Simple. And I liked this. I may be a new writer myself but at this point in time I have no understanding of the technicalities or their terms..
So here goes….
This book to me at least, is best described as an Erotic Thriller. It's hot and the leading lady, Rose Harlow puts herself in a dangerous situation when she becomes attracted to the detective investigating the murder of her mother.
I read the 94 pages in one sitting simply because I had to know if what Rose was starting to suspect was true or not. It has twists and turns that will keep you guessing right to the end and when you do discover the truth you will wonder why you didn't see it coming. It's well written and I think that Leanna most certainly has a future in this genre. [by Tallulah Rose]
Killing the Desire is a MUST Read
a review by Linda Hays-GibbsThis mystery starts off with a murder. Rose Harlow's mother Rebecca is brutally murdered and her oldest daughter is left to deal with it and her three siblings.
Her bitterness against her father and all men make it very hard for her to admit to any feelings other than rage. She is a beautiful hard nosed woman determined to become a lawyer and later a judge to prosecute the bad guys. This character is full fleshed and very human. You find yourself rooting for her all the way. She's a scraper and a survivor.
Dave Mason is the mouth watering man that walks into Rose's life as the detective sent to find her mother's murderer. His fascinating green gorgeous eyes and hard body is just too temptable for Rose and she propositions him right off the bat. He complies and they are launched into a torrid love affair. He is all any woman could ask far but then a hint of suspicion hatches and Rose is off on a tangent.
I won't give away any more of this engrossing tale. Read it. You'll love it.
This story is captivating with great characters and a heated and hot heroine.
It may make you want to turn the air conditioner on, even in winter but its a moving tale of discovery too. I loved it. I give The author five stars out of five and await the next story with great anticipation.
