A. Shane Etterabout this book: Bottom Dwellers is a supernatural thriller intended for an adult or young adult audience.
Patrick Dylan is a black belt in karate who is scuba diving in one of the deepest lakes in the U.S, in the mountains of north Georgia. After meeting beautiful park ranger, Trudy Price, he encounters green mutant people with gills, living on the bottom of the lake, turned mutant after exposure to radiation escaping from the Georgia Nuclear Aircraft Laboratory 50 years earlier. They had remained undiscovered all that time. After mutants kidnap Ranger Price, Dylan must battle them to find a way to free his new love.
After Price is freed, she and Dylan marry and go to NYC on their honeymoon. While at the Cloisters a curator is murdered and Dylan and Price help law enforcement find the killer among the Mole People of NY, living in the abandoned subway and train tunnels underneath the city.
It took me a year to complete this, my first novel.
I chose this cover to reflect the underwater and underground settings of Bottom Dwellers.
I have completed the 2nd book in the Dwellers series and am half way finished with the third. I plan a 10 book series with Patrick and Trudy traveling the globe to battle a worldwide mutant community.
