Eric Bachabout this book: Eight Weeks to an Explosive Deadlift is an exercise program I've designed and honed through my work with athletes. Few exercises require and develop raw strength like the deadlift, and improving works as the minimum effective dose for overall athletic improvement.
I was inspired to write this book from my own trials as an athlete and eventually, preparing clients for competition.
In this book I put together an eight-week program very similar to the plan used to break plateaus, build muscle, and increase athleticism with my clients. The experience was a blend of in-personal trials and fails, working with different populations and ability levels, and intense study to discover the "why" in strength science.
This book and program are not for beginners, but intermediate and advanced athletes. You must have a basic knowledge of exercise and comfort with most barbell exercises.
