Book: Stories people love by Brenda Mohammed
|5 stars based on the 3 most helpful Amazon reviews|
Brenda Mohammedabout this book: I had been writing only non-fiction and I decided to try my hand in other genres in the Fiction category. I wrote a few stories in Kindle Edition and then I decided to combine all the stories into one book for readers who still prefer to hold a book in hand when reading.
I chose Create Space to do so and they did a fine job of the Cover too.
The first story I wrote was, "A Headmaster's daughter." Being a headmaster daughter myself I was able to describe the settings and the characters with ease. The main character Marie was a portrayal of my oldest sister who is since deceased. Of course the story itself is fiction and has received one five star review to date.
The next story, "Travel Dreams of Yesterday" was the author's own experience in the late sixties. In those days it was never heard of in the author's country of two single girls going across the world on a trip. I felt that it was a story that needed to be told.
"The Dirtiest of all evils" is a story I wrote for a paper I did in a writing course some years ago. My tutor thought it was very good so I figured that my readers would enjoy it. It is a murder mystery and I do not want to say too much about it or I may give away the plot.
The fourth story is called "Age Difference". This is a love story with a difference. True love knows no bounds and age knows no limits. The story is about a young woman who felt that she was too old to marry her lover. Did she marry her younger lover? Read the book to find out..
"True Value of Insurance" was written because in my own personal experiences with health and other issues, I have come to realize the true value of Insurance. It is worth reading and will benefit all my readers.
The last section of the book is devoted to Poems I wrote. I called that section, "Poems to awaken your soul." They are poems composed by the author and added as a bonus to give inspiration to readers. I believe that these poems add value to the book.
The book has obtained five star reviews in both Kindle and Paperback Edition.
