Jeen van der Meerabout this book: Stevia is three hundred times sweeter than cane sugar. Stevia is a lot healthier than cane sugar because it does not turn into fat in the body once consumed.
Stevia is a great sugar substitute for people who are on a diet to lose fat and for diabetics. Because stevia is not a carbohydrate, it is the perfect sugar substitute for those on low-carbohydrate diets. Stevia does not raise or lower the blood glucose.
It is the perfect sweetener for those on low glycemic diets, or a diabetic diet. Stevia in small amounts gives a nice sweet flavor in foods, and does not add fat to the body.
Since stevia has become so popular, a lot of people want to find out all the facts about stevia. In my book I try to address all the questions around stevia.
Questions like "What is in stevia?", "How can I grow stevia in my garden?", "Are there any side effect to stevia?", "Can diabetics use stevia?", "How do I use the different stevia products?"
