J. A. Falesabout this book: Chasing Wren's Tale is a steamy, funny modern fairytale romance featuring two strong, stubborn personalities—twenty-nine-year-old yoga instructor Wren Cavanaugh and centuries old immortal werewolf and gym magnate Gunnolf Fenric.
Wren's once upon a time has been riddled with bad luck since Florence, the kind senior woman who adopted her, died. Most recently, Wren's fiancé drained her savings, ran off with a stripper, and told the whole town Wren was a freezer temperature mackerel in bed. The only positives in her life are swearing off men, owning Wren's Namaste Nest, her best friend Daisy, and her vibrator Mongo.
Aside from a blood debt Gunnolf Fenric has yet to collect on for Odin, his pain-in-the-butt brother, and the yoga instructor next door who told his lawyer she refused to sell her studio, his life is great. When Gunnolf holds an after-hours party at the gym, complete with Heavy Metal to annoy Wren, the two meet and sparks fly. Wren resolves to avoid their intense sexual chemistry at all costs, but Gunnolf and Odin's wife, Freya, have other ideas in mind.
Sex may be easy, but love is a battle of wills between these two. Secrets about Wren's origins and threats to her life complicate things even further. Throughout it all, one thing remains true: Some girls just aren't willing to accept a happily ever after on anybody's terms but their own.
