B.Y. Yanabout this book: This is the story of childhood friends, which may or may not end the way you expect.
I suppose this is also the story about a nemesis - you only need one in your life to act as a constant hurdle that some of us may never properly cross. We don't always grow up the way we want to, or how we were expecting, but it's the small acts of kindness afforded to others which aren't reciprocated which leaves a lasting impression. What then, can we say of the superheroes of our stories and fantasies? Is their greatest foe truly the one which pushes them to their physicial and mental limits, or is it the one against whom the hero is often reluctant to take a stand simply on the merits of past impressions? We can never be wounded so deeply that we are beyond repair, but by that same token there is no wound that strikes more hurtfully than one we are reluctant to admit will hurt at all.
The Lynchman's Owl, too, has such a nemesis in his life, as you will see.
